These terms govern your use of Drift, an idea-capture and writing app operated by Let's Drift. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.
Drift lets you capture ideas by voice or text, organize them into spaces, turn them into projects and to-dos, and write in a focused editor. It is available at letsdrift.app and in the Drift app for Apple devices.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. One person, one account: sharing an account is not allowed. You must be at least 16 years old to use Drift.
Drift is free to start. Drift Pro is a paid subscription that unlocks the full feature set. The following applies to Pro:
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. Where you ask us to start providing a paid digital service immediately, that right can end once the service has been fully provided. The free trial means you are not charged until it ends.
You agree not to:
You own everything you create in Drift: your ideas, writing, spaces, and any images you add. We do not claim ownership over your content. We only use it to provide and improve the service for you.
By using the service, you grant us a limited license to process your content as needed to deliver features such as transcription, structuring, and the writing tools. When you share an area or idea, you also allow the people you invite to see that content at the access level you choose. This license ends when you delete your content or your account.
Some parts of Drift use automated processing to help you, including transcript cleanup, structuring, and writing assistance. This output is provided as-is and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate. It is not professional advice of any kind. You are responsible for how you interpret and use it.
We strive to keep Drift running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control, and features may change over time.
Drift is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Let's Drift shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
You can stop using Drift at any time. You can delete your account and all its data from the Account page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when reasonably possible.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a significant change, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of Drift after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Drift are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
